Reviews of Kiah's Day

Here are some reviews of Kiah's Day: A Day in the Animal Guild Series, that have been posted on Amazon, Goodreads, LibraryThing, PC and elsewhere.

This short is another hit for the series and a fun read. I love these side-tales into the lives of the individual characters of the Animal Guild. Not only are they entertaining (a bobcat-want-to-be-skunk), they add depth to the series. Until now, Kiah was just a nice character in the side wings of the action. Now I really like him and look forward to his appearances in future stories. To say more would be a spoiler. Sept. 25, 2018

As always, very well done and highly enjoyable. I got to know Kiah and Terelle and the Enclave and its ways much, much better and I loved all that. As ever, Fist’s role was indispensable, and that suited me just fine! On the whole, a really great, exciting story that enriches the created world of The Animal Guild. Sept. 17, 2018

For everyone who's ever thought to themselves, you know what my life really needs? More skunks. This sweet little story fills a need that you probably didn't even know you had. In the Animal Guild Series we've learned about animals and humans, beetles and birds and even big-foots, but what was the one thing we didn't get enough of? Skunk! Skunks rule the day here, lovable and vicious little balls of fluff with hair-trigger tempers and bottomless loyalty. Young Kiah and Terelle, a bobcat and his skunk best friend, thought they would be together forever, but adult life interferes, as it inevitably does for all species everywhere. Kiah always dreamed of being an honorary skunk and accompanying Terelle into a lifetime of adventure when she is initiated into her new duties, but forces are aligned against them. Throw in an ill-advised trip into forbidden territory complete with clumsy mishap, the discovery of mysterious skunk secrets, a haphazard attack on the skunk Enclave, as well as more exposure to skunk spray than even Kiah ever wanted to experience, and we have a recipe for an enriching little journey that leads Kiah from utter despair to heartwarming triumph over the course of one long day. In short, this is another exciting and satisfying side story to the main series. Sept. 16, 2018

Great story of friendship and the need to belong. Can Kiah, a bobcat, prove he is worthy to be initiated into his best friend Terelle's skunk enclave? Over the course of this tightly crafted story, Kiah must lose everything he holds dear to find his way to his true place in his chosen world. Sowle's trademark humor and Kiah and Terelle's sweet friendship make this one a gem. Sept. 15, 2018

Against all odds, Terelle and Kiah dare to be friends. Their story is heart warming, tear jerking, and challenging. See if Kiah can turn a devastating situation around and realize his life long dream. Great for the younger readers. Perfect for olders and youngers reading together. Thank you, Jennifer, for sharing your stories with us! Sept. 15, 2018
