At last! Finally! A story from The Animal Guild universe
that spotlights my favorite character--Fist, the kitty. That said, this tale
was well worth the interminable wait. It's about Halloween from a black cat's
point of view. Chock-full of thrills, chills (and even some spills). Fist is,
well, Fist throughout--feisty, brave, and annoying in a way that only
kitty-lovers understand (and appreciate). This is a good one, so don't hesitate!

I've enjoyed the Animal Guild short reads, but this is my
favorite. Perhaps because Fist is such a great and likable character. What I especially
liked about this story, is that it feels like I'm getting one-on-one time with
Fist; to see that she wasn't always a top "dog", so to speak. The
story moves fast, the danger real and the writing strong. I recommend this book
as a stand-alone as well as a great close-up view of Fist for series fans. (6/25/19)
How much trouble can one little cat get herself into in a
single day? And how can she get out of it again? This compact little story
delivers a ton of adventure and character growth to our favorite black cat, the
unflappable Fist, spy and self-imposed Guild outsider. A terrifying
incident leads to serious injury and Fist is lost and alone in a way that the
perpetual loner has never experienced, and isn't sure she likes. Yet it could
be that losing everything will end up getting her even more than she had to
begin with. On her journey Fist meets a real rogues' gallery of new animals,
but appearances can be deceiving. Who is friend and who is foe? Rest assured,
when all is told, Fist has some intriguing new friends and a nasty new enemy or
two. Another fun extra story in the Animal Guild universe! (6/29/19)
